Each speaker comprises a 0.75'' silk dome tweeter with electronic protection allied to a pair of 3'' high-power mid/bass drivers with heavy duty magnets, placed in tilted sides of the front baffle. This placement, according to the Dipole speakers configuration, creates all the ambience and space you were looking for - and missing! - from simple two-speaker configurations. In addition, all speakers are shielded so that they can be placed close to TVs. The result is a clean, clear sound ideal for movies.
Meanwhile, a beautiful high-gloss piano black finish comes as standard edition with no extra charge for the customer.
With a cutoff frequency of 120Hz, the BPS Satellites can create a quality, ultra compact size system (with all the known advantages, such as reduction in diffraction, better dispersion, etc... which can be correctly integrated, both aesthetically and acoustically, in any listening room. Although THX specifies a crossover frequency of 80Hz, the BPS speakers are perfectly optimized to function with the crossover set at 120Hz. Thus, adding a subwoofer crossed at 120Hz will transform this two-speaker package to a real-life experience of stereo or even surround audio.
To enjoy full surround sound, we recommend two pairs of the BPS 2.0 system, plus one stand-alone speaker, like the LCR, for the Center channel.
